Unlocking my XP

I just bought an Athon XP 1800+. I am using a Volcano 6Cu HSF in a Lian Li PC60 case. Is it going to be worth my effort to unlock it or would it be better just to up the FSB 5-10 Mhz or so.

These XP chips are much harder to unlock than the old T-birds and lots of people are screwing them up. You should play with the FSB overclocking and see if you are satisfied with that before you try to unlock the chip.

Also, you may find that Volcano 6Cu isn't the best cooler for overclocking... there is a lot of resistance transferring the heat from the copper slug to the aluminium fins. I've found that heatsink doesn't cool very well.
