[SOLVED] Unplugging an USB while in BIOS?

So today I was formatting an SSD and HDD I have using a bootable WIN10 USB drive. When my system no longer had a drive with an operating system to boot to, I opened BIOS. While the BIOS was open, I unplugged the USB drive. When I went into the peripherals section, it displayed the USB drive as still plugged in. My question is - could this unplugging in some way corrupt the files on the USB, because I unplugged it while the BIOS was turned on? Thank you in advance!

Ps. My MOBO is a Gigabyte B250 HD3P.

If you exited the active Operating System, the write buffers were flushed, and any files which may have been open were closed. Re-starting or re-booting the hardware would have accomplished this for you. It is likely that, when some utility in BIOS recognized that the USB device was attached, it was not automounted, and that, everything is fine with it.

You can always test the USB device(s) on another system, to verify their current state.

No harm, the Bios is only showing you devices it found in it's startup scan.
