Greetings,
I recently purchased a gtx 560 to replace my old gtx 260. Ive been using fraps to check fps in games such as crysis 2 and arkham city. With graphical options set to high and all the new (for me) dx11 options turned on, im only getting about 30 fps. Were my expectations for this card too high, or might it be a dud?

zotac gtx 560

Not a dud but 560 Ti would have been a little more what you wanted most likely. I went from a 260 to a 670 and holey good gosh it is like 3 times the power if not more. @ 1080 it will run everything maxxed no questions. Try overclocking your card a bit might get things just good enough if not I would reccomend returning if you can and look into a 660 or 660 Ti. The plain 660 comes out on the 13 in 2 days the 660Ti is already out. This card is not as powerful as you thought most likely they are playing at 1440x900 to get ultra I promis a 560 was not getting 60fps at 1080 Ultra.

im sorry but your response confuses me. you ask in which games and then refer to the games i mentioned...
ill try to be more specific. bad company 2 runs like a dream, but crysis 2 and arkham city most definitely do not. These are the only 3 games I have tested on so far, and are by far the most demanding that I own. I have read people claim that with a gtx 560, they run crysis 2 with the dx 11 patch on ultra settings at 60fps. I am barely getting halfway there. Based on the small amount of research that I have done, I should be getting better results. Am I mistaken and the gtx 560 just isnt as powerful as I thought? Or might there be a problem with the individual card? Oh and my PSU is an OCZ stealth stream 750w, so i doubt power is the problem.
