[SOLVED] Upgrade CPU or Monitor first?

so currently im playing on 768p monitor (yes old monitor) and im deciding to buy new 1080p monitor, should i upgrade my processor first or just go with the monitor?
my worried is that it will affect my game performance if i stay in current processor, im planning to buy I5-6600 i(i will not upgrade my entire mobo coz too expensive)

Gigabyte GTX 970 OC Mini
Biostar H110M
16GB 8x2 DDR3 1600 Mhz

It depends on the game and the settings. Otherwise yes, there's going to be a noticeable impact to performance.

I would buy the monitor first.
You can always, if necessary, reduce the resolution or game settings if you need to.
I3-6100 to i5-6600 is really not a big upgrade.
Same 4 threads, same single thread performance, but better total capability when all 4 threads are fully utilized.
Passmark ratings:
I3-6100 4threads 4169/2235
I5-6600 " 6116/2276

The benefit would come most on multiplayer games.

Higher resolution only has impact on the GPU usage. Upgrade the monitor.

I would get a new monitor and keep your old one too--then you can choose whichever screen you want.
