I have a question. With current configuration:

MB: ASUS Prime Z270-P​

CPU: 7700K ( OC to 4.7GHz )​

RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz CL16​

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 ( OC to Core: +180 Memory: +500 )​

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G3, 80 Plus GOLD​

Is it worth upgrading my system to?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X​

RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL16​

GPU: SAME​

PSU: SAME​

Mostly for gaming.

Your chosen RAM model isn't found on the motherboard's memory QVL List
Would advise picking another RAM model instead from the QVL List to avoid any issues

The CPU Upgrade is favorable.
You get a boost in single-thread performance

Yes, it is a substantial upgrade. Now,if it's worth it depends on you and your needs.

Given the recent 12600K/Z690 w/DDR4 achievements in recent reviews, with FPS levels exceeding those of the 5800X, 5900X, 5950X and all 10th/11th gen CPUs including 10900K/11900K...I'd ponder my upgrade path quite carefully.

The 5800X is, however, quite good....(I had seen a few rumored sales at $299, which if true, would make it a virtual 'must buy' at that price!
