[SOLVED] Upgrading from 1060 6GB to 1080Ti 11GB

My PC,
CPU - i5 8400
Mobo - MSI Z370-A PRO
RAM - 2x8GB HyperX Fury 2400MHz DDR4
GPU - Zotac GTX 1060 6GB

As my friend bought 3090 he decided to give me his Zotac 1080Ti 11GB AMP Edition.

If i put it on my present PC will it cause bottleneck or performance issues.? If so what should i upgrade to make it run smooth.?

dont worry much about bottleneck. worry your psu. what psu do you have now?

I had a 4 core 8 thread i7 7700. It occasionally (although rare) bottlenecked in games with my 5700 xt. I'd moved on to 11400. Now I don't see any bottleneck. 7700 and 8400 is close and 1080ti false between 5700 xt and 2070 super. So you might get slight bottlenecks. Nothing catastrophic tbh

So PSU is the only upgrade I should look into.? No need to worry about bottleneck or performance issue on my current rig if i am to put the 1080ti on it.?

no need to worry abt that, want a worth upgrade? go get a B560 motherboard and i3 10100F, pretty much better for future upgrades (maxxed at gen 11).
