Hello!

I could do with a little advice. I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU, I've been looking at the Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1060 WF2 6GB GDDR5 pretty good price on Amazon but then I found the ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB OC Expedition Edition, this card is slightly cheaper. Is there a difference between the two? They seem to be the same card just with a slight name alteration.

I'm a little concerend about the Gigabyte and ASUS at the start as I've got a Gigabye motherboard. It is a Gigabyte H81M-S2PV would this Mobo be able to support either of these GPUs? I've currently got a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050.

Thanks in advance.

First off, the GTX 1060 is not going to be a very huge upgrade, at least coming from a GTX 1050, IMO. There would be some slight difference in the GPU clock/mem boost speed values, between those 2 GPU models..

Though you can upgrade if you wish. Oh BTW, your motherboard will support ANY GPU model/brand, be it from Nvidia or AMD. This doesn't matter at all !

The main thing I was looking at was the fact that the GTX 1050 had only 2GB with the two other GPUs are 6GB. My current GPU is being pushed too 98% according to Nvidia Performance. While my CPU and my RAM is only using around 5% - 10% max.
