[SOLVED] Upgrading my old pc - need help on what to upgrade first

I left my pc at my parents house for almost 2 years now, but i've decided to pick it up and move it to my home. The build is kinda old overall:
-i5 3570k
-Asus P8H77-V
-Gigabyte GTX 1060 6gb
-6gb ram ddr3
-1tb HDD Western Digital
-250fb SSD toshiba
-psu sasonic 620W
I mostly use it for gaming (world of Warcraft, call of duty, counter strike, and some other games) at 1080p. I can still play all of them at at least 60 fps but it is tough. I'm thinking of going for a CPU + Motherboard + RAM upgrade first, I think the 1060. being the 6gb version can still do it for another 3/4 months (I will eventually upgrade everything by the end of April) it is just a matter of budget right now.
My budget is around 600 euros for the first upgrade, so i'm looking into current gen stuff, I'm just not sure which way to go first, cpu or gpu. I'm looking at the ryzen 5 5600x, even though it is not available, or the 7 5800x. For the motherboard, a mid end one and 2 x 8gb ram. GPU i'm looking at a 3060 ti or 3070 (i have preference for nvidia).

So really my question comes down to:
- GPU or CPU first, and which ones? Or should I wait and do it all at the same time/build a new one?

I would say CPU+RAM+mobo first is good. You're right about the 1060 holding on just a little while longer, but that cpu needs to be replaced lol. I wouldn't buy a 5800X, it's just not worth it imo. 5600X + mobo + ram will get you a really good deal. 300 ish for the cpu, a good mobo wouldn't cost more than 150-175. You can get Trident Z Neo 2×8gb 3600mhz CL16 for 125 ish. It's a great upgrade. Make sure you upgrade the psu too with a new gpu though. If you want you can cheap out here and there and get a nice fast nvme ssd, Kingston A2000 is my fav rn, wd blue nvme is good too

Nothing there to effectively upgrade so CPU+MB+RAM at least, For gaming at 1080p CPU is most important so your 1060 will hold you for a while.
For gaming, 5600x would be ideal but 3600x is not that far behind. Still a good buy and should be plentiful to find.

Exactly. And I can't even oc the cpu with this mobo. That would actually leave me below the 600 mark too, which is really nice, and save some more for the gpu and psu.

Depends on the price you can get it at. If it's like 30-40 less than 5600x I would say not worth it, get a 3600 instead, turn on PBO you should be fine at 1080p.

Well, since 5600x is so scarce it also keeps high price, 3600x(t) is maybe 10-12% behind and that's not easy to spot in FPS.

Well fair enough. Most people aren't running 240hz anyway. It won't make a difference lol. Just depends on the price point because if the 3600 is like 70% of the price of the XT, then value goes down the drain

Ah ok, so 3600x not 3600xt? My store has the 3600xt at 250 (same as regular 3600), the 5600 is at 330 but unavailable since like october/november.

3600XT if price is right, it has (in theory) 100MHz over 3600x and 300MHz over 3600. All are same processor just up-binned (plain)3600.

Alright, I'll look into it. I also thought of the 3700x or 3800x, in the same price range of the 5600 but more cores/threads, but I guess paying the same and getting lower performance is not worth it imo.

If it's because of IPC and single thread performance it's steady improvement since the beginning in models and frequency within same model. Multi core performance is also going up same way but is also dependent of number of scores.

A local store has the 5600x at 395 euros, is it worth it? Its almost 80 euros more than the "normal" price, although still cheaper than the 5800x, the 3800x, etc etc.

It's personal so tricky question because my 80€ may not be worth same as to you but I personally wouldn't pay such price. Normal price for 5600x is about 50€ higher than for 3600x and when you pay 80 more it just doesn't ad up to performance difference between those 2 CPUs.

I share your opinion. I think of going with a 3700x (I can get it for 300 (?), because I also do a bit of video editing, photoshop, and work with some "heavy" excel sheets, so I guess it might be useful. For the mobo I'm looking at an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus and RAM G.SKILL Aegis 16GB 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz.
