Question Upgrading PSU

yes it is adequate for such system :
your pc should consume around 500w while gaming
(assuming you have standard configuration : 2-3 drives , few rgb fans etc.) so it will operate under optimal conditions so to speak .
there is also some room for upgrading to even more power hungry card in the future should you need to .

is the power supply a good one I have heard some Corsair PSU's are not that great
I have 4-5 fans in my case as well as a Samsung Evo SSD a Samsung nvme m.2 and 1 HDD as well as 3080gtx for ram i am getting Corsair Dominator RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 5600MHz CL36 DDR5 but i have not decided on a motherboard at the moment

RMX (GOLD)
HXI (platinum's)

Both are really good units, I have used quite a few (at least 5 in the last few years in builds)

I"m using an HXI in my build wtih a 4070TI and I pull 450-475 watts while gaming (so plenty of overhead for spikes).

Your in good hands carry on!

(to save money get the RMX its a LOT cheaper than 399. the HXI should be like 219 or so here).

which PSU do you have for the HXI you are using
also can this PSU power a 3080 rtx as it is a bit cheaper cause it is 850 watts Corsair HX Platinum Modular 850W Power Supply not sure if it has the right PCIe connectors for the graphics card

I'm using the HXI 1000 watt.

NIVIDA Says at least a 750 watt. I would get at least a 850 watt for a 3080.

Why not the RMX 850 if your on a budget? It's only 134 at Amazon.............

The platinum is not worth 100+ dollars for the small amount in efficiently gains.

dark_globe Hello. I've heard very good things about the Corsair HX1000i. On a related forum thread, I made a few additional recommendations (below), if you're interested in checking it out.

Any PSU recomendations for 1200W ATX 3.0?

i am thinking to the the HX1000 watt since heard good things about it

My choices are Corsair HX1000i Platinum Modular Low Noise 1000W Power Supply Corsair HX Platinum Modular 850W Power Supply is the 1000i overkill for my system as the 850 watt is 100$ cheaper and do they both have enough PCIe Connectors for my 3080 gtx.

Also maybe a stupid question Does either of those PSU`s have the requirements for a 4080 rtx cause i would like to upgrade sometime in the future without haveing uo upgrade psu again for it

I personally would not go any lower than 850 watt. 850 watt will run either as loong as you don't overclock.

Also you don't have your build.

If your using a 13900k and want to overclock and have 8 hard drives and 10 fans etc etc. I would go 1000 watt+.

It all depends but we need more info.
