I currently have a XP 3200+(socket A), 9800 AIW, 2X512 Corsair XMS XLL, ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe, 550W Thermaltake.

Would a 64 3500+ 939 socket, 850XT be worth the expense to upgrade now?

Thanks for the reply.

You are talking 20% more cpu, and 50%+ better graphics. Is it worth it? It depends on what games you play, and how much eye candy you like.

So copying DVDs would be greatly improved? I like eye candy, thou not an absolute nessecity. Flight sims and Serious Sam etc..

/////Copying DVDs is all burner work, so no help there.

Wusy and endyen, I didn't know that. Thanks I guess I was referring to authoring as well.

////// Does your framerate ever drop below 50?

I don't know how to monitor my framerates while playing these games.

/////A program called fraps would work, but the question is more of wether the game is running too slow.

S.S. seems to run fine, Flight sim 2004 will task my PC sometimes.

Never heard of "fraps". Is that how you would google it?

While I would love to give Amd more business, your next step (next year maybe) should be to upgrade your gfx card. By next sept/oct another whole new batch of cards will come out.
If they aren't available in agp, you may have to do a major upgrade then.

I dont see it Wusy
