Use Pantech modem UML290 (from Verizon) with Netgear R7000P router?

We live in the boonies and our only internet solution (other than satellite) is a Pantech USB modem from Verizon. It is now plugged in to a Cradlepoint MBR95 router, also sold by Verizon.

Now we want to get the Airtv black box, which you plug an antenna in to, then it transmits the converted antenna signal through a router to a Roku or such on the new 4k tv, which will do two things that we want to do. It will let us watch antenna TV during at least some of the Dish network outages, and will let us watch 4k broadcast tv. The Cradlepoint router is not up to this, and may also no longer be supported, in which case I would like to replace it anyway, so I am looking at a router that will do the job.

Verizon isn't interested in talking to me about anything that they do not sell, and Netgear chat "had no agents available" so they cancelled my chat, so I am turning to you folks. I see that this Netgear router has two USB ports, and wonder if one of them can be used for this purpose.

So this:

The Now:

Pantech Modem --> [USB port] Cradlepoint MBR95 Router ~~~~~ wireless ~~~~~>

The Plan:

Pantech Modem --> [USB port] Netgear R7000P Router ~~~~~ wireless ~~~~~>

Does the following link match the PanTech UML290?:

And this link is the matching Product Manual for the Cradlepoint?:

https://cradlepoint.com/sites/default/files/mbr95_product_manual.pdf

As I read it all, the Cradlepoint's USB 2.0 port (Page 6 of the manual) is designed for the connection of a mobile broadband modem such as the Pantech. A proprietary router in that sense. (Also noted that that model has been discontinued.)

Home router USB...
Just to clarify. Does the following line diagram represent the desired path?

Antenna ---> Airtv black box ----Ethernet cable -----> Router ~~~~ wireless signal ~~~> Roku [HDMI port] on new 4k tv

The Airtv black box would need to be configurable to join your network. Probably will need a Static IP address with that address being reserved on the router for the Airtv black box via its MAC.

That said, the greater problem may be that any problems will be blamed on any other devices within the network by any given vendor.

Does appear that Verizon and Netgear both have already made that point.

However, the present objective is to lay out the physical plan and then work out the required configuration settings to make the plan work. Or discover, hopefully not) that the plan must be revised in some manner.

Ralston18, I replied to you yesterday but my answer did not get posted.
You diagram is correct, but that does not address my question. I gave the Airtv information to explain why I want a new router, and what I want it to do. My question is: will the Pantech work with the Netgear router, or how can I tell what router it will work with?

Home router USB port(s) are for printer and drive/data connections. Not cellular connections.

Do not believe that the Netgear's USB port would work with the PanTech modem. Probably much the same for most retail/consumer routers.

Not sure about any device/router recommendation per se. Probably something along the line of the commercial products listed in the following link.

You might be able to improve performance with the new CradlePoint Router - ask Verizon about that and get some written confirmation that the newer CradlePoint router will support your plan.

Not sure what else to suggest. However, someone else following this thread may chime in to correct some error of omission or commission on my part. No problem with that on my end.
