[SOLVED] Using gaming headset on low volumes

I want to get hyperx cloud II headset since I have been using earphones from my phone the whole time for gaming, so I was wondering if it would make any difference if I would use it on low volumes because I don't like it to be loud? Would I be able to hear footsteps, direction of gunshot etc.?

When on low volume you may miss some things, the game sounds have dynamic range, so lower noise like footsteps will be bellow other sounds. Like movies, dialog and background noise is recorded at a lower level than things like car chases and fights/weapons. It won't hurt to try it, it's still a good sounding headset.
