Hi there

Yes I can control the camera. Play rev. FF etc.
When I say capture, it captures. I see a proper preview. At the end
whn I'm stopping the capture process it says "CAPTURE COMPLETE" and
"No video was captured".
The capture was from the present position. The format I use is PAL,
but I tryed every format

I get crazy

Cheers Arthur

Without detailed info we can only guess.

1. Check to make sure you are capturing to a drive and folder that
exists
and has enough space.
2. Can you 'srub' the video. In other words, can you control the
camera.
(Play, FF, Rev) and when you do that do you see the proper preview?)
3. Exactly which capture format have you tried? Capture from beginning
of
tape, capture from present position.

In the Capture window, go into Options - Preferences - Capture and make sure
that the "Mimimum clip cength" option is NOT selected. The same thing goes
for "Maximum capture length", unless you want to set a value. I never
bother.

You might want to try Scenalyzer Live to capture from your DV cam.
http://www.scenalyzer.com/main.html
They have a trial version which puts watermarks in the captured footage but
this should show if there is a problem with the camera or is it Vegas with
the problem.
good luck

Good point. He may be trying to capture clips too long for the settings.

Get Scenealyzer try that.

Also, you have not mentioned if you tried to capture just a short bit. Like
30 sec's.
