YES there is and I aprove of it.

Kill all who is infected. Kinda like the aids virus (sad but true). If we killed off or sent them all to their own area, we would effectivly wipe out the virus.

I believe this was done for the potato virus during the european famine.
 
Unfortunately(?) we can't just kill all of the people in the world with AIDS to stop its spread. The problems is that there is no test to show that a person is infected until they have had the virus for a while. So even if we were somehow able to kill all of the dectected infected people there would still be many people who wouldn't know that they were infected. I'm not sure about HPV, but that would not work.

I don't know enough about biology and i don't really know anything about HPV. I will have to keep quiet until a different topic is broached.

Also, I think its funny that this is now considered to be a scientific discussion thread.
 
I am going to throw out my "expert" opinion and say that time is a constant and does not slow down, nor speed up, nor appear to do either, for an object, no matter how fast that object is travelling.

Agreed! What it makes more funny is the fact that it has been considered by only one scientific electronic poster!

SO you'd kill everyone with warts? A bit harsh when salicylic acid will get rid of the bastards.
 
I do belive time can move at different rates, depending on speed and other forces. It makes sense since it is a "force" and dimension itself. Take a black hole for instance. Scientists belive that time stops in a black hole due to extreme gravity.

You know what would be cool though, is to find out what's at the centre of a black hole. It could be just a giant converter of matter to pure energy, or maybe, this is my idea from what i gathered from string theory and this is just a possible idea that woulkd be cool, black holes are doors across the branes of other universes since gravity is thought to be able to move through branes, maybe a black hole could be like a door.

Oh and with the aids bit, ummm, maybe not kill them because that would make people mad, just put em in a cage, or large island. But that would still make people mad so give everyone else valium.
 
Ever heard the theory that in the middle of most galaxies exists a dormant supermassive blackhole? It makes sense, the gravity and cohension have to come from somewhere.

Ya... but they're not dormant. They keep on suckin, and thats where all the energy comes from, other than what the stars make. To tell you just how much energy comes out, i read an article that said if a black hole consumed a litre of gas, it would get billions of kilometres to the litre, intead of under ten for most cars.

You mean as in tea bagging or just regular ol' ball sucking? I draw the line at tea bagging. Its degrading, atleast ball sucking is respectable.

so lets say you are traveling at the speed of sound, do you hear anything behind you? or just the stuff that's in front of you? what does it sound like?

Do I need to set my clock back a couple of hours for traveling this fast?

I don't think anyone would care if we destroyed the world. I'm sure the other life forms in the universe would thank us since they are still receiving TV transmissions from the forty's and fifty's, maybe they are up to the seventy's (I fell sorry for them)

Sorry I digressed there for a moment.... I propose this.. since we have made many advances since Albert E. lets put aside his theories and make up our own... I mean the collective knowledge of this forum is beyond the "BORG" level...

Time is Time regardless of how fast you go... If we could travel at light speed one second to us would be one second to those not traveling that fast......
