I have had some problems in the last two months with my hard drives. I have an 80 Gb Maxtor IDE and a 8 GB Maxtor IDE. I have reformatted them in the last day and noticed under the System Information of Windows XP Pro that it shows for the 80 Gb:
SCSI Bus 0
SCSI Logical Unit 0
SCSI Port 0
SCSI Target ID 1
On the 8 Gb:
SCSI Bus 0
SCSI Logical Unit 0
SCSI Port 1
SCSI Target ID 0
I may be messed up but why does a IDE drive have information dealing with SCSI port and ID. I would appreciate any help as I am stumped and consuming to much Capn Morgan trying to figure it out. This is also mirrored at http://forums.storagereview.net/viewtopic.php?t=8470
