Hello
I am using this system board with this AGP video card on Win XP service pack 3.

I just formatted my computer this morning and the video card is not showing up in the Device Manager under My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware. I also installed the Catalyst drivers for Win XP but the installer did not appear to detect my graphics card.

The odd thing is that I reformatted was successful at installing the Hotfix back in 2011 as well as one month ago (although I had to use an older version of the Hotfix in November).

How can I get the device manager or the Hotfix to detect my video card? I already tried specifying AGP for video in the BIOS.

Solution
I would guess that the Gigabyte drivers included some other software that your system was lacking, and that now you should be able to install the latest ATI/AMD driver.

It turns out I had to install the drivers from the Gigabyte site (my video card manufacturer) instead of ATI's generic drivers. I had to specify the exact model on their website. Why don't the ATI ones work? I don't know.
