Thanks a million for your advice Cari and Kristen!
I have to tell you that my camcorder just has a USB cable and no I triple E
1394 cable. What can I do to change a MPEG into something that Windows movie
maker supports. I mean is that possible or not.

Firewire is also known as iLink and IEEE1394..... and is the defacto
standard for transferring digital video from camcorder to other hardware.

The cable is almost never included with the camcorder (rather like a printer
cable is never included with a printer!)...... give us the model number of
your JVC camcorder and we'll do some more research for you.

You didnt tell what model of JVC you have?
