I have no clue about pc gaming so building one is not optional. My budget is $4k and I am trying to get a future proof rig that's easily handles virtual reality. Are the components listed below sufficient?

Cybertronpc titanium x99

Gaming pc components
Intel Intel Core i7 5820K 3.3GHz (Hexa Core) (Codename Haswell-E) (Unlocked CPU)-Processor
Dual 120mm Liquid Cooler - CLX Quench Liquid cooling system
MSI X99S GAMING 7 MSI 2011 4X16 XFR SLI 8D4 M128 GL R ATX Mother board
4x4GB Crucial Ballistix Elite 2666MHz Memory
NVIDIA GeForce GTX TItanX 12 GB Video card
Intel 480GB Intel 530 Series Solid State Drive SSD hard drive
Western Digital 2TB Western Digital Black Edition Hard Drive
16X Blu-ray Writer Optical Drive
Antec 900 Watt Antec 80PLUS Bronze High Current Gamer Series Power supply

My bad it's 4X4gb ram so I guess that's 16gb. Yes $4kUS. I want to know what level of vr gaming will those specs get me, minimum/middle/max?

if you need it for gaming get a i7-6700k in last benchmark SKylake wiped out Haswell-E, you save money and get better performances. I wpuld never buy a Titan X but a 980ti, but new gpu generation is going to be launched in summer you could wait. not a really good psu, i fu want an Antec get the HCP850, but for your configuration a 650w is enough, in this case EVGA Supernova g2 650w Gold. (the best of its size)

I don't have that customizable option on the cybertronpc site, as far as the 6700k goes. I'm not sold on them but I want to get the most bang for my buck.

the components listed will do the job

but --A vastly overpriced

B--not necessarily the right combination of components for the job

have you looked at whatever VR companies page that you are interested in?

most of them list what they recommend to use

and most of them are giving discounts if you buy both the VR hardware and the pc together

i know oculus are doing deals with asus and maybe dell on VR stuff

i dunno how it works in the US but in Italy best option is to buy pieces from shop and build the pc at home. Your build will work and will do it good but imho that's not the best bang for your buck.

i would get this:

i7-6700k
asrock z170 extreme 4
cryorig a40
corsair vengeance lpx 3000mhz cl15 16gb (2x8gb)
Samsung pro 950 250gb
WD Blue 1 TB 7200rpm
Asus Strix Gtx980ti
Evga Supernova g2 650w (if you plan SLI or Crossfire you should get a 850w at least)
NZXT H440 if u don't need dvd drive otherwise a Phanteks Enthoo pro

this build doesn't cost more than 2000€ = 2400$

Thx, I think that I will continue looking and not settle for what cybertronpc has to offer. Can you lead me to a website where I can expand my options. Building is out of the question.

sorry man I'm Italian, have no idea in USA, try newegg

Ok, what about this rig http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/alienware-area51-r2/dpcwc03p
Is it better than the one mentioned above?

as said if you cant build it yourself buy the parts--i reckon 2,000 will get you as good as their 4,000 one
find a local pc store--not one of those big chains--pc world here dont know what they are in usa

usually a 1/2 man small shop--those are usually run by enthusiasts who know their stuff

what they going to charge to put it together?

even up to $200 you will still be saving a hell of a lot of money

Let's just say I can't bother go through all that Houdini, I want something that's hot out the box. What about the new specs?

System: Liquid-Cooled Intel i7-6700K 4.00GHz Quad-Core (4.2GHz Boost) | Z170 | 16GB DDR4 | 400GB SSD | 2TB HDD | Genuine Windows 10 64-bit

yeah looks fine to me though for the kind of money you are spending should be 32gb of ram and an ssd/m2 in there

but graphics and cpu wise yeah looks good to me

really strange the way you think....dual 980ti are worth only if u have a 4k monitor. they cost 1300$ today and in 3 months probably 700$ both, that's the best bang for the money!!!
Do as you wish, money is yours, I gave you my clever advice and showed you the opprtunity to save 2000$.

Ok good or sexy good? Use the sexy scale, 10 being perfect which it is not but on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate it? Metaphorically speaking, if I am going to marry her I'd give her the 32gb engagement ring, but only if she's between an 8-10 lol if she's a seven I will continue looking(I think).

they obviously think differently from the way we do

yes i would do the same as you buy the parts and build it

or if i couldnt build it buy the parts and pay some one to build it

saving 2000

but some people just want it delivered done and can afford the price

to me $4000 is a lot of money--saving $2000 is a lot of money

but to some peole $4000 is small change

they clearly know how they want it done and arent worried about the cost

which is fair enough its their money to do as they like with

I appreciate your advice but where I am located I don't have access to a builders shop or know any tech savvy persons, I want a future proof machine, I don't want the tinkering to be left up to me because this is new territory hence me swallowing the price tag.

lol thats a new way of putting it--if you get the 32gb of ram and an m2 drive in there will give a 8.5

the interesting part is often building the pc, it takes 45 min if you are a novice and 10min of video on youtube of "how to build a pc". If you really think you can't do it, knock your neighbour's door he will probably can.

probalby i think this way cause Italy sucks (a nice but useless country) and the average salary is 1300$/month, thinking of gifting 1 and a half of it for overpriced products gets me mad.

I am from Turks & Caicos. I am not struggling but I am not stupid, I have to sell my ps4/wii and games also and iPhone along with some savings to buy a rig. I don't have to but the smart thing to do is sell things that I no longer use. So I created a cushion to get a rig. I can't let my wife know the price either lol. But hey, vr here I come.

What's an m2 drive? I ordered two corsair vengeance pro 16gb
