Hi,
Sorry if this is a stupid question! I currently own this RAM:
http://www.cclonline.com/product/46126/KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G/Desktop-Memory/Kingston-HyperX-4GB-2x2GB-1600MHz-DDR3-NON-ECC-CL9-DIMM-HyperX-Blu/KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G/
It has a stated voltage of 1.65V.
I want this board:
http://www.cclonline.com/product/39636/GA-880GMA-UD2H/Motherboards/Gigabyte-GA-880GMA-UD2H-AM3-Motherboard/MBD1156/
It recommends DDR3 at 1.5V. Is there a way, and is it recommended, to reduce the voltage on the memory I own to make these 2 compatible? I.E can I reduce the bus speed to 1333 and will it reduce the voltage? I'd like to be able to use the RAM I already have. FYI, I'm using this CPU:
http://www.cclonline.com/product/39484/HDT90ZFBGRBOX/CPUs/AMD-Phenom-II-X6-1090T-Black-Edition-3-2GHz-Hexa-Core-Processor/CPU1075/
Cheers all.
Chris
