i'm looking for a vpn service for my mac osx version 10.7. i know i have to upgrade but i need something for now. free would be great. by the way is tor browser any good? is it worth it?

What do you need it for? I wouldn't recommend a free VPN, theres a reason why they're free! All the VPN service providers are MAC compatible just google them. Tor is Tor, again, judging it depends on what you want it for, it's a browser!!

basically mostly for streaming and overall general online protection. i've found mac compatible versions but not for old versions of mac osx

DO NOT purchase a free VPN, you'll regret it in some time. Although Mac products have the in-built encryption unbreakable which is not present in Android devices. Then again, a VPN service adds another layer of security to Mac which would do wonders.

Free VPN services, on the other hand, harvests your data. It's better if you go for a premium VPN provider. I would suggest going for ExpressVPN as its the best so far for Mac.
