What does the 'clock' symbol mean in Nero6 editing?

I download movies from TV.

Normally I use Nero6 to burn these to a DVD after editing out the ads and
trimming the first and last bits.

The steps I use are:

1/ Open NeroVisionExpress3
2/ Load the TV movie into the "content" window then press the "edit movie"
button.
3/ The edit screen contains the movie-preview window on the left, and the
effects window on the right. Normally this effects window will contain a
'still' scene from the beginning of the movie to be edited.

My problem is that sometimes this effects screen contains a clock icon
containing the movie name, and when this happens it is not possible to
proceed further.

What does this clock symbol represent and how do I proceed to edit the
movie?

Please help, Frank

i think this means that Nero is 'busy' or 'working in the background'. in effect Nero has frozen trying to complete its current tasks.
i normally get this w/ large files.
