What if one of my memory module gets faulty and other 3 modules are alright & i have to remove the faulty one from laptop, what things will i have to edit in windows to make windows work normal with less ram?

nothing, it will work it out itself.

But you might loose some performance as some or all RAM will run in single channel and not dual. What laptop is it? Unusual to have 4 modules.

i had 4 modules installed so removed 1

Was trying to work out is the laptop supported dual channel or even quad channel RAM. Either way if you have an odd number of modules some or all the RAM won’t be running in full channels available.

At best it will run in flex mode where 2 modules run in dual channel and the 3rd runs in single channel. Otherwise it may all run single channel. Depending what use the laptop for you ‘may’ notice a performance loss.
