so i found a good monitor and it says it has 1ms VRB (it's an ips monitor), what is 1ms VRB? what does it translate to in GTG?
so will the response time on the VRB monitor really smooth? like 1-4ms?VRB means Visual Response Boost and it's a feature which decreases blur in fast moving images to achieve the effect of a 1ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time).
In other words, if you enable VBR, you can get 1ms response time with that IPS monitor.
Though, IPS monitors aren't capable of getting faster than 4ms GTG (Grey To Grey) due to the IPS panel design. So, to get past that, monitor manufacturers, e.g Acer, use different features (MPRT, VRB etc) to get the 1ms response time.
the monitor is acer SB230 BbixThat depends on specific monitor (and how VRB is implemented) but generally, yes.
