What is the better choice?

I'm down to a choice that I need to make and want some expert advice if they had to choose between the two...

1) FX-57 w/ 2GB Ultra Low Latency DDR PC-3200 SDRAM at 333MHz - 4 x 512MB and a geforce 7800gtx (512mb) card

or...

2) FX-55 w/ 4GB Low Latency Dual Channel DDR SDRAM at 400MHz - 4 x 1024MB and a geforce 7800gtx (512mb) card


Which one would you pick for an over-all gaming machine and why?

No. The new memory controllers are much better, but any system gets bogged down a bit by too many ram sticks. Get 2 X 1024. If that means you can still get the FX57, all the better.
