what this error message is all about?

some times windowsXP throws an error message saying that

"system has recovered from serious error".

what is the cause for this error?how to fix it?

is this a serious problem?

What are you doing when this happens? What apps are running?

What are your system specs? When did you last update your drivers?

no the message displays ONLY SOMETIMES in the welcome window.

it asks me to send an error report but I do not.

my system specifications are

AMD 64 3000+

nVidia chipset with Krypton Mother board, 1GB ddram.

next time it happens, write all the #'s, letters, etc. down.

Then Google it. You will most likely find many references to it.

Does Windows want to send an error report to Microsoft? If so, let it, and perhaps a link will show to a Microsoft page informing you about the error. Many times these are listed as driver problems, but the offending driver is not identified.
