What to do with broken Zune?

I have a first generation Zune. I moved into a new house about a year ago and misplaced the gadget for a long time. Now it appears as though it's broken. It won't charge/sync/turn on. What should I do with it?

It's a sealed case so I can't take it apart as it is. If I take it apart I would bet that it would break something inside.

Any ideas? I am open to any and all ideas on what to do with this device now that it won't work the way it is supposed to.

Probably the battery has failed. See if it'll run on power input/usb socket.

If it's a sealed unit, possibly Microsoft has a costly scheme for replacing the battery (probably sending you a reconditioned one with a new battery in it like Apple does).
