Whats faster: Duron 1.2 or Thunderbird 950?

Hi, im building a budget system, and i was wondering which is faster in 3D gaming and normal applications; the AMD Duron 1.2GHz or the Thunderbird 950MHz? My friends say the Tbird 950 is faster, but i cant find benchmarks anywhere in TomsHardware.

Also, whats the cheapest AMD XP processor i can get (what speed)?

depending on where you live, you probably wont find as good of prices unless you go to a computer show, where you can get buggy products. Newegg is a very reputable online dealer.....I've really never had any trouble with them and would recommend them to anyone.

The duron is faster, you should buy an axp though.
