safedisk 2 is the second iteration of a certain copy protection for cd's (sf1 was the first) it is nearly unbeatable clone cd is software that permits exact 1:1 copying of cd's more info can be found at www.gamecopyworld.com and www.cdrinfo.com

Simple response ... go read about them. That's the fastest way to answer your question, and for you to get the information.

It's amazing what you can do with a search engine and five minutes of your time.

I found a simpler solution that version of clonecd supports amplification of weak sectors IF you do not live in U.S. or U.K. or Japan... I found that for me changing my system regional settings to (english) Canada It is enabled and I just copied a backup of EA tiger woods tour 2001 which has SD2 and a routine to detect cdr media (cloncd has a setting to defeat the detection scheme on your burner) and it worked flawlessly.

the part that defeats the cdr detection is only needed if you put the backup into a burner .. they read the atip info regular cdroms don't have this problem

it doesn't patch it at all. it alters the data being sent to the cd burner, so it is written correctly on burners that don't support regular bit patterns.
