I'm wondering now if Creative Assembly will even get asked to make other people's horror games for them. They're really good at it. They probably could have done a lot better at The Evil Within than Tango did.

BTW, speaking of Spec Ops The Line and horror games, did you guys know Yager, whom made Spec Ops The Line, is making Dead Island 2? I wonder how that will work out.

Meh, I don't know. Voicing and gameplay seems too comical and arcade for Dead Island. Not sure I'll like this game. This reeks of Deep Silver wanting to turn the series into a trashy Saints Row type experience.

My main games I'm working on right now is still Far Cry 4. I have been playing a ton of Banished as well though.

It basically a resource management, city builder strategy game. It's not like Sim City though. It's more like a pilgrim settlement and your job is too keep everyone from starving or freezing to death.

I wanted to add one more to the list of games I'm currently playing. That would be The Witcher. I've heard that this is a good RPG series (my favorite genre) and everything I've seen about The Witcher 3 really makes me want to play it.

I got The Witcher 1 and 2 for about $3 each during Steam sales a while back. I'm about 5 hours into the first game and I already regret waiting so long. It holds up surprisingly well for an 8 year old game. I definitely want to beat them both before I buy the 3rd one and the good news is that it will probably be available at a discount by the time I'm ready for it.

I've been playing Torchlight II and Street Fighter X Tekken for some time, and both are fun games. The next game I'll play is Skyrim. :)

Just started playing assassins creed rogue. the story is good till now but grahics are not good. they are more like black flag maybe a little worse.

Hahahahahaha that`s a bit of a drawback!

Well, just finished my Extreme mode play through of Kane and Lynch 2. Still feels like an epic game after all these years. So sad they're not continuing the series.

Now I'm on to finishing up my Fubar run of Spec Ops The Line. Sadly it looks like the Spec Ops series might be done too, due to low sales numbers for The Line.

YES, Half Life 3, or even the final episode of Half Life 2 episode series.
Favorite games: the Metros (2033,LL), L4D2 co-op, and my grandson and I have been dukeing it out in CoD MW2

There may have finally been some progress as Valve just announced the Source 2 engine March 3rd.

Playing Mass Effect again. About half way through the first one. I love these games. Maybe my favorite of all time.

Just started playing AC Rogue. Graphics on PC look better than the trailers, which were probably taken from console. It's basically the same as AC IV's graphics. It also runs very smoothly, better than AC IV.

Combat animations seem to be from AC3, which are much more elaborate than those from AC IV. Naval battles and ship boarding is just like in AC IV. It feels easier to jump off railings to air assassinate though.

Stealth elements are same as AC IV, but predator encounters and hunting like AC3. So far I'm pleasantly surprised. It feels like a much better game than the trailers made it look. I've only played a little bit though.

Wow! Grandfather and grandson playing video games together? haha. That's a sight. Never heard of that before :p Father and son, yes I've heard of that. Grandfather and grandson? Never! Wow. You must be quite the grand father!

Thanks, I do my best. Wish I had done grandkids first, LOL!! He's pretty good, too. I don't do much multi-player in the CoD and BF games as the young 'uns have much quicker reflexes and better eyesight, so playing against him is a challenge. And heck, I'd better play with him, I introduced him to gaming and FPS.
Thanks again. BTW, if the day comes that you become a grandparent there are rules to follow: Buy them presents, feed them sweets, send them home!!! :D

I hear it's better than Unity.

Have you played or are you playing Alien: Isolation? I am considering it and if you have played would appreciate some feedback about it. It's on sale right now, until 10a.m. PST tomorrow.

It's a good game. Played it with some friends last weekend, but it took a while to get to the real scary part ( Alien encounter) and for an hour or so we were walking around basically trying to find" keys" needed to open doors to move to the next part of the game. But once you run into the Alien...well good luck ;)

It's a good immersive game with a decent story and is well optimized to boot.

Thanks for the quick reply! I have been told it is truly scary, maybe even scarier then the first time through Doom3?

Not quite the eye candy, but more engaging gameplay, and WAY better performance. Better performance than even AC IV.

It's probably the first AC game I've ever played where when the camera does the 360 pan across the map after scaling a viewpoint, the video is 100% smooth.

Not sure if it's scarier than Doom3 because I haven't played it :(

It's scary alright, best played in the dark with headphones on. For $17 I would say it's a good deal.

Quality headphones no doubt. Alien: Isolation is supposed to have some of the best sound design of any game released in 2014. I have the game, but I'm saving it until after I get my Beyerdynamic DT-150's.

Nice, you won't be disappointed :D

I really want a pair of planars... I've been looking at the hifiman he-400 which is the cheapest planar magnetic available since it was mass produced and is now discontinued for the 400i. But for now my cheapo Panasonic RP HTF 600s (modded) work quite well for now.

That's nice to hear. I've been thinking of playing 'AC: Rogue', since I'm sure 'Unity' will run really bad for me.

I've been playing 'The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion'. My second TES game with 'Skyrim' being the first.
I have to say, the game is pretty addictive. The side quests are the best though. I liked them more than the main quest. I'm nearly 18 hours into it.

Other than that, I've been playing some 'Sniper Ghost Warrior 2'. Yeah, the reviews say the game is mediocre at best, well, I don't find it all that bad. The game does have some game breaking bugs. If you don't do the objectives exactly as how the game wants you to do, you can't progress. The game is very linear, but I like Sniper games, and this is pretty good at that.
