Maybe they disagree with your opinion about the campaign sucking. I certainly do. That's not an objective truth that everyone has to agree with. I played through the campaign when it first came out on PS3 and absolutely loved it. The world was great and the campaign was fun. I liked it enough that I will be buying it to play again on PC as soon as it goes on sale. If I hadn't already played through it once I would have been all over it on the PC's launch day for $60.

This is coming from someone who never bothered with GTA Online. I have no plans to get wrapped up in the online mode on PC either. I'm buying it again specifically to play through the campaign and explore that great open world with better graphics.

Agree with you 100%.

This is the only game I'm playing right now. It's gotten to the point where I get excited at the end of the work day just because it means I will be able to go home and play soon. I'm an adult and a game hasn't given me that feeling in a long long time. It's an incredibly rich, living world.

I also got a free pre-order of Arkham Knight with my GPU but I doubt I'll want to play it before I finish Witcher 3.

It can depend on which forum you say it on, but I'm specifically speaking of a more tech oriented forum where most play on PC and agree that many things about the campaign are not so good. They also will specifically say they buy games like GTA for the silly random stuff, not the campaign missions.

The latter seems to be common among most whom buy the game, regardless what forum you discuss it on, which is why I think GTA is slowly turning into a Saints Row type game. It appears Rockstar are well aware of the random antics many want to engage in and are catering specifically to that.

Some have claimed Rockstar were going for a more gritty, realistic experience in GTA V, but frankly, I don't see it. If anything it's sillier than GTA IV in characters, story, and missions. The story plays like a dysfunctional soap opera between Michael, his family, and Trevor, with Franklin playing referee, and the FIB's role in it is, well, just ridiculous.

I've just finished Grand Theft Auto V. I thought the campaign was a lot more crazier than GTA IV. All the missions were really good. None of them felt all that repetitive. I did feel that the story was a little weak though. Sure, it was a ton of fun than GTA IV was, but in my opinion, Niko's story was a lot more dark and better than that of the three guys' in this one.
But overall, I loved it.

This.
GTA V relied too much on the parody aspect that I found it difficult to feel for the characters when they decided to put in more of a serious tone in some parts. I'm a story oriented person. I don't really care for gameplay all that much, but if there is a good story, I'm all in for it.

Thank you Bethesda, thank you.

Played the retail version of Fallout 3 so no idea of the hours I spent playing but my guess is more than 200 ( maybe way more ). Then according to Steam I've only played New Vegas 131 hours. That was 2 complete playthroughs compared to 4 or 5 for Fallout 3. Needless to say this is one I'm excited about. This is one of the best series of games ever for me. Right up at the top with Morrowwind, Oblivion, Skyrim and the Mass Effect trilogy.

I am very hyped for Fallout 4, hell I have Vault-Boy as part of my avatar (though considering changing it soon).
According to Steam I have 131hrs in New Vegas, though I would have more as I have played through it on the PS3 as well. Fallout 3, couldn't guess how many hours.

Just hope that Fallout 4 leaves behind the bugginess of previous titles. The only reason I dont have more hours in NV is that I have hit a game breaking bug in one of the DLC. Cant advance forward and cant go back.
Though I have fond memories of speed-running Vault 101 in Fallout 3 as if I spent too long there I would crash 😀

Yep looking forward to that one as well. The first X-COM was a blast.

That's crazy we both have 131 hours in NV. I played it once at release kinda quickly ( ~50 hours ) and then the second time I played every quest I came across and all the DLC. I keep meaning to play again myself but I just haven't got around to it yet. Fallout 3 I have played so many times I know just about every location on the map and where to go and how to solve every quest by heart.

I've been playing Witcher 3. If you really try to discover all the locations, upgrade your gear, and do all the sidequests, the amount of content in it is seriously overwhelming. The 450,000 lines of voiced dialogue are incredibly immersive, and add a lot. The story is very complex and interesting. I'm only a few hours in. Highly recommend it

I've been meaning to play the first 2 Witcher games. Got them on sale over a year ago and never got around to them.

On another note I wish the 980 Ti would hurry up getting into retailers hands so they can get one into my hands  My GTX 780 is doing fine with the older games I've been playing but it's just not enough for my new 1440p monitor.

I have not played the first Witcher game, only the second one. It was awesome. But the character movement was really clunky and I didn't like the combat all too well, although I heard it's good.
Witcher 3 looks so much more vast and much more open world than the last one.

I got the Witcher 2 a fair while ago and have attempt to play it twice. Both times I got as far as Flotsam before losing interest, everything about the game just felt clunky, but I can see why it has such good reviews. Its like playing Dark Souls for the first time, where you can just tell that once you get the hang of it it will become amazing.

I installed the first Witcher game and played about a half hour a few months ago. I was also not liking the combat system. It seemed weird to switch between fast and powerful based on the enemy type you are fighting. I was going to give it another chance though.

Yeah. It did feel really clunk, the game mechanics. And you couldn't jump on will. Everything required you to click the left mouse button when you approached a certain obstacle.

The story is great though, and the branching this game gives is amazing.

I saw a few videos on youtube regarding the gameplay for the first Witcher game. The combat indeed seemed really weird.
