Agreed. Far Cry Primal doesn't interest me either. Might play it someday, but I'm not looking forward to it at all.

I'm playing through MGSV: TPP now, as I said before. I think I'm 7 hours in, and reached episode 6 I think. I've done all the side-ops available too. The game is really fun, but I'm having a hard time staying in stealth for any mission. I get discovered half way and I just go with the flow and kill most enemies. I haven't tried restarting from a checkpoint as I felt it'd take too much time to start all over again.

Regardless of straight on combat or stealth, they're both done really well and there's no real pressure that you're only supposed to go stealth only. I've only received one 'S' ranking, and that was in the prologue. Subsequent missions were all 'B'. In the last one I did get an 'A' even though I got spotted and had to kill my way through. Got me wondering on how they actually assign a rank.

The cardboard box is hilarious but I can't help but feel if it's glitched in my game. There's no limit to using it. I can use it whenever I want. Is that how it is meant to be?

i imagine Far Cry: Primal will be more than most people expect from the stone age trailers. doesn't seem they would bother with another complete title if was just simple slings, bows, and spears. i'm anticipating but try not to get my hopes up for any game anymore.

just interrupted my gaming schedule with a new Dwarf warrior character in a new install of Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition. always surprised again how great this game still is.

Fable 1-3 are great games, also, Fable 3 works in Nvidia Surround. That's pretty crazy about being locked out of Starcraft 2.

Doing another play-through of DA: O myself (3rd time since it came out); between that NWN2, and TW3 I haven't gone back to DA:I for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. I just cannot stand what they did to the combat personally in DA:I.

Yeah this is a big risk, as they were doing well with FC3 & 4, and most of their fanbase seemed to like having a wide range of firearms. The only way this makes sense is as a quick, cheap experiment, where they mostly just re-skin and add a few new animations for clubbing, spearing, and maybe blowgun.

At first look, it has the illusion of no arrogance or disregard for the fanbase, because they DID put out a survey with several different setting scenarios polling fans. What's strange though, is they appear to have pulled a MS. You know, those guys that put out RTCs for every OS version, but never listen to feedback.

Below is the survey, nowhere on it is a Stone Age version of Far Cry. The closest to it was "present day on a Jurassic Park style island of dinosaurs". Even with that, I don't recall most people chatting about the survey preferring the dino option.

The only explanation is they yet again got full of themselves and only cared about their own whims, screw the fanbase. The survey seems to have just been smoke and mirrors. They were just making it look like they give a damn what we think.

Great game. I've been checking about every 3 days for word of when the final episode will be released but as of now there is still nothing. I don't usually buy episodic games until they are fully released because I hate waiting.

I normally wouldn't for that reason too, but Steam sale. Got all 6 for just $10. Couldn't say no.

Yeah I got it during the summer sale.

Playing State of Decay again. The Breakdown DLC is the most evil time waster I've encountered in years!

That is a great game too. Haven't tried the DLC. I get kinda tired of the regular game after a while because it just feels you are rushed to the end of the game. I would play it a lot more if they just stretched out the time between major events. I wish they would make a sequal.

I also wish that Bethesda would make a Fallout like zombie game. Really long story you progress at your leisure, with the primary goal of gathering stuff, killing enemies, exploring the world, and surviving. Add in the base building, some weapon creating, and rescuing survivors and it would probably be the all time best zombie game ever.

I mean, surviving and gathering supplies, survivors, and working on your base is what everyone loves about State Of Decay (and zombie killing). Saving people and exploring are what people love the most about Dead Rising (and zombie killing). Biggest problem with both are a rushed story line with strict time limits or the story is ruined. I feel like Bethesda would get this perfectly.

that sounds an awful lot like Dying Light.
though we know if it was a Bethesda version it should be much slower paced(100hrs+ instead of ~60) with more NPCs and hopefully more profitable exploration. as empty as their last games were you always eventually came upon something out there in that vast open-ness. the 1 thing i would say Bethesda could do better with their rpg-styled games like Elder Scrolls and the latter Fallouts would be more imaginative combat.

Historical accuracy is nice, but I doubt people would pass up the opportunity to craft an RPG and fire it at a T-rex.

@Gman450 There you go. This is coming from CDPR itself for Witcher 3. 600 changes

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-witcher-3-110-patch-is-out-and-its-huge/

"All told, it packs a pretty impressive six hundred changes," CD Projekt's Marcin Momot wrote on the Witcher 3 forums, "including fixes for a load of quests, optimizations that'll make things smoother on PC and consoles, over one hundred fifty stability improvements to iron out hiccups, additional conversations with key characters that will enhance your relationships with them as well as the story as a whole, and a major and much-awaited fix that should take a good bit of the pain out of dealing with items in the Inventory by improving how items are ordered and sorted."

Too bad I already finished the game.

Currently playing through far cry 4 again i have also been playing some skyrim. Recently replayed metro last light, deus ex human revolution, wolfenstein the old blood and dishonored.

Bring on fallout 4, deus ex mankind divided and dishonored 2!

these patches for Wild Hunt make me want to get into it again now! very happy the new content is coming out this week. will have to cut my other games short and add them back to the backlog. that list is getting too huge this year.

why does the stone age make people think of dinosaurs? the image that should come to mind is mammoths, sabre-toothed cats, giant sloths, giant ratites.

but there are quite a few games that have been shooters with dinosaurs involved and some have been pretty damn fun. will never forget Dino Crisis. the newer one Ark: Survival Evolved is decent so far. also one i've seen coming; Horizon Zero Dawn looks pretty awesome, too bad it's ps4 exclusive as far as i've seen.

if you really want a Far Cry game with dinosaurs beyond what Blood Dragon offered go make a mod for 2, 3, or 4 that includes them. there are actually quite a few tutorials and mod tools for the games out there.

What does everyone think about battlefront? I checked out the beta over the weekend and from what I am seeing, it is pretty cool. Yes its another Multiplayer FPS, but it has some potential. It feels a lot like Battlefield, with the ability to fly fighters and operate AT-ATs and the like, but its Star Wars. There are some things that could use improving, but I think the full game will touch on many of these points. I am wanting to try it out on console, because I was getting my but handed to me consistently on PC. I'm not sure if console will be any easier, but on other FPS games I have been able to keep up with the competition better on console than on PC.
But, to sum it up, I will probably be pre-ordering this week.

Ah crap, it's over already?
I only got to play like 1.5 hours of BF.

It . . . was an fps.
Set in the star wars universe, which is a bonus of course, but I'm not a big fps player, so I won't be paying €70 for it.
Unless a bunch of my friends will start playing this, I suppose.

I was thinking the same thing as far as a campaign goes. It would have been nice to have a campaign with co-op, but if they can truly deliver a great online PVP experience I can look past the lack of a storied campaign. But, it did not dawn on me how cool it would be to have PVP space battles. That's a great idea, and all of the mechanics are already there. I wonder if something like that will be incorporated into the official release. I don't know why it couldn't, or be part of an expansion?

Devs are lazy anymore. They don't make campaigns, they don't make split screen anymore. It gets annoying. Then it costs $150 to play the whole game.

A single player campaign. Now that would be an incentive.
With the scrubbing of so much canon there is a lot of room there. Hell, with that universe there's a lot of room anyway to tell stories of lone foot soldiers on the edge of all that goes on.

As for the space battles I would prefer they make a seperate game that focusses on that, rather than what would likely end up being a mediocre fps and mediocre space shooter. Let them make a good shooter and then something to top X-wing vs Tie-fighter.
And that one, I'll buy.

Then after that maybe something to follow up . . . Rebellion?
