Just heard Alekhine's Gun got pushed back to Feb. Too bad, I'm looking forward to trying that one.
For those whom don't know, Alekhine's Gun, named after a famous chess move, is a cold war era espionage game where the CIA recruits a former KGB agent, and involves investigating conspiracies within the CIA, leading up to the events of JFK's assassination and beyond.
It's stealth gameplay with a lot of disguises, intel gathering, and assassinations, very much like Hitman. That said, they claim while being fans of Hitman and offering similarities, that they've improved on some things, and are focusing on very open ended gameplay where the use of items you find and decisions in general aren't always clear. They promise large levels where you're rewarded for exploration.
I have to say, I'm interested in this mostly for the story and player choices.
