Hey guys and gals, 4A is now teasing their new game with a couple of cropped screenshots. Looks like it could be some kind of sci fi space based game.

I'm hoping this will be a survival horror space game equal to or better than the Dead Space series.

I thought they'd go for another post apocalyptic shooter game but I figure that'll get stale quick. Sci Fi game seems like a cool idea.

I'm stuck in Obduction now. Starting to lose interest too. I've looked up hints a couple of times for other parts where I got stuck but they were not direct answers. I'm tempted to look this one up but I'm going to restrain myself.

last week or so have been playing Ori & the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. a great game. the best platformer i've seen in a long time.

received a game code for Black Ops III, played through the SP campaign. was actually surprised that it had a decent story to follow with some very limited personalized upgrade options. worth a play if you get it for free or very cheap.

also played through Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine pretty much at the same time recently. just after finally finishing the main story of my NG+. the expansions were a great addition, like most had said; adds a ton of content. love the armor upgrades.
have just gone back to a save before progressing into Blood & Wine endgame. plan was changing something in the story arc/endgame but now i have forgotten what exactly. gives me a good excuse to go back even further and play through the last 10 hours or so.

now have to get back to my second Fallout 4 playthrough. was ~50hrs in with Far Harbor, Automatron, and a couple Workshop DLCs. have to get Nuka World and a couple others i've missed now before i start the main endgame again.
have heard a lot of good things about Nuka World.

Blops III was my favourite CoD since the first one. Awesome single player campaign.

I have recently been playhing ithrough Max Payne III. Very cool game, loved the first one, didnt bother with this one at first. Awesome. Shows how far graphics have come on in 3 years though! Totally maxed with 4xAA looks sharp but oddly simple compared to modern stuff.

There are more Easter eggs in that same basement. 😉

Oh and I didn't take a screenshot but there are also rad roaches from Fallout mounted as trophies in the room as well.

I started with Pong in about 1979 and I'm about to play Mankind Divided sooo, nope don't really know what you're talking about. 😛

Of course there have been periods where I've played less than I like but gaming has always been a good outlet for me and I've never quit completely.

I found that stuff about 2 hours in my first playthrough. I didn't even realize you could have augs hot keyed when I took those.

I've had brief moments where I didn't feel like playing anything. Most I've went was about a month or two. I particularly remember having that while I was playing through FarCry 4. I'd play it for just half an hour a day or less and then quit. I was playing it solely to finish it and I couldn't derive any enjoyment from it.

I felt exactly the same way about Far Cry 2  It was actually a pretty good game killed by doing the same mission over and over and over and.... you get the idea.

I also felt that way about Dead Island. There's 30 hours I'll never get back.

The first Dead Space was a slog too but that was due to me hating the controls and the way the character moved. The game was great beyond that.

I really can't remember a time longer than maybe a month or two that I didn't play video games of some sort since the mid 1980s and the Atari 2600.

My feelings for Dead Island are all over the place. I love it and hate it. I played it back when it released but I didn't go much in because of performance issues and bugs. I tried it again after they released the definitive edition. It was really fun but the glitches were still there! My character got stuck on the roof of a house and I decided to load last checkpoint. To my dismay it started several kilometers away from where I was, with respawned zombies who charged right at me! I was so sick of it's checkpoint system and glitches that I dropped it again, lol. I am not going back to it. I know Dying Light is similar and a lot better but I haven't delved into it yet. Maybe some other time.

Meanwhile, I'm still stuck in Obduction. Lol.

Oh and I also received a temporary upgrade for my PC. I've changed from the 750Ti to a GTX 960, which is from my cousin who's moving to a college in a another state for a year. He was kind to let me have it. 😀
I'm not seeing much difference in performance because of the low resolution I'm playing at and some games are more CPU bound (Rise of the Tomb Raider) so I didn't see any improvement there either.

I got around that by editing the settings.txt file to increase max mouse sensitivity. You wind up with a sensitivity bar that hangs beyond the box in the mouse settings menu, but it makes turning way easier. Some say you can also do it via turning off vsync, but I didn't want to put up with screen tear.

Every time I hear Dead Space it makes me worry that we probably won't see another one. One can always hope. The Awakened DLC was a bit of a cliff hanger hinting an outbreak on Earth is next, so there's already a preface for it.

I need to go back and play all 3 of those games again especially if the issues with the first one are fixable. I really liked Dead Space 3. I seem to remember playing Crysis 3 around the same time as DS3 and not enjoying it nearly as much. That series was the opposite. I loved Crysis and Crysis Warhead. Crysis 2 was good. Crysis 3 looked good but I didn't enjoy it much. It just wasn't fun to play.

Me too, especially the vast amount of space you could free travel via suit thrusters, and the dungeons were pretty gruesome. It was hard to find a forum to share enjoyment of the game without being attacked by trolling DS3 haters though.

i really liked the Dead Space games. got 2 & 3 in a package sale some years ago. played mostly through the first again and tried out a couple hours each of 2 & 3. always planned on marathon-ing the series over a couple months but have never gotten back.

first console was the Intellivision and my first computer was the Apple II. both had tons of great games.
was pretty devoted to gaming from then through most of my life, minus ~10 years as a teen/young adult when i thought i had better stuff to be doing to myself and others everyday.
loved those years from Intellivision/Atari through Nintendo64/PS1 but didn't get much back into gaming til someone gave me Ultima IX. from then on I was die-hard PC gaming again.

Gameplay trailer and alpha gameplay footage of Sniper Elite 4, due 2/14/17.

Looks awesome, combat anatomy 101. I like some of the new things you can do, like sniping the brace of a sniper platform to make them fall to their death. I'm hoping the alpha phase will involve more than touching up graphics though. The AI seem too oblivious (5:00 mark 2nd vid) or slow to react when at close range (rushing them face to face from 15' too easy). I did notice however that whistle luring from bushes doesn't always work, so that's a good sign that there will be suspicion levels even when you're cover isn't blown. Overall stealth looks too easy to exploit thus far though, especially from the bushes. Animations also need polish, and looting is way too slow.

Xcom + long war mod. I like getting killed, maybe? Counter strike series are on the top of my list. Don't know why i can't stop when I started playing the game since 1.6. It is like weed or drug! I know I shouldn't play it for so long! I know I have been playing the same maps for years with some changes every now and then but I CANNOT STOP!! ;__; it is same for Dota or LoL. It is on the same damn map but there is this feelings that makes you wants it! makes you need it!
