I guess I'll always be one of those people that's lagging behind to save money - I own a lot of games but don't actually spend that much time gaming when I think about it. I don't need to play the newest/best games at the best settings, I just want to be able to play newer games at decent FPS without having to turn off TOO many settings or turning everything to low. Just upgraded from a 750Ti to a 1050Ti (well waiting for the 1050Ti to come from Newegg). It was the right upgrade for me without just getting a new CPU and basically starting from scratch.
 


Me too. As you can see from my sig, I'm still rocking an ivy bridge i3 and a 750Ti. I upgraded the RAM last year to 8 gigs. I play at 720p, so this setup is just enough for me. I do want a quad core CPU but I don't see myself getting one anytime soon. Most difficult game for me to run was Mankind Divided as well. I had to tweak around the settings a lot before I could get the best eye candy and performance possible.
Right now, I've got a lot of old games I wish to play through. After Deus Ex, I'm thinking Prey and after that, maybe Morrowind.
 
One of the 'perks' of getting older is better toys. :lol:

You seem to love playing multiplayer games. For me, it's kinda the opposite. I can't seem to play multiplayer of any game for more than a few hours. I've tried Team Fortress 2, CS 1.6, BF3. All the same. I can't keep playing. I guess MP isn't my thing. I adore single player though, if it's any good.
 


Me too. The one exception was America's Army 2. I played pretty regularly for about 4 years from 2005-2009 ish and was in a couple of smaller tight knit clans that ran our own servers. I still played single player games too though. 4 years sounds like a lot but I've been a computer gamer since 1996 when I bought my first PC. I probably played AA several thousand hours but I really can't think of another multiplayer game I've spent more than a few hours in. FEAR maybe, playing with the same guys I played AA with.
 
Have been playing different games since my childhood. Cannot mark one as the best of all, but the list of great games will be including Counter Strike (1.6 and GO), Dota 2, Super Mario and GTA IV.
 
I just finished Deus Ex. Total playtime was around 24 hours. This has become an instant favorite for me. I'm thinking of another playthrough but I'm probably gonna cheat through it with max levels of augmentations as I feel like I barely scratched the surface through my time with the game. I was really conservative (like always) and I felt like the game could've been more fun had I just myself loose. I ended up having tons of ammo, health kits and energy cells by the end of the game. I didn't use most of the augmentations too often either. So I'm pretty lean on another playthrough soon.

Unlike Human revolution and mankind divided, I barely spared any of the enemy NPCs. I killed every single one of them as I found it more fun that way. In HR and MD there are a lot of other things happening around you in the form of side quests that may or may not be related to your main quest at hand. In the original game, it's all more or less lenient towards your primary objective. There was a lot of main quests than there were any side ones too. For me, the endings felt disappointing. You can choose between a three but I felt they were poorly written despite the rest of the game being the complete opposite.

Overall, I really enjoyed the game. In my opinion, it's one of the best.

I decided to merge with Helios. It wasn't really in mind but the others are equally extreme and it didn't feel like there was a lesser evil.

In my game, Paul and Jock (the helicopter pilot) died. I tried to save Paul, as much as I could but then I learned that if you escaped through Paul's apartment window, he dies. So I was not aware of that. And with Jock, I knew something was wrong with the mechanic but I wasn't sure about what to do. I later learned that you could just kill that dude or reported him to Everett (one of the illuminati members). I liked Jock and I wanted to save him but I was too far ahead to go back and reload a save.

I barely had problems with the bosses as their encounters in the game are like any other encounter with an enemy. You could easily kill them off with a few LAMs.
 

Only 24hrs? I think i clocked in around 70hrs. One of the best PC games of all time.

I also chose to merge with Helios 😀. The ending is pretty much upto you on how to see the world as.

Saved Jock(because i tend to do 2 rounds of the level fortunately that helped 😀) but failed to save Paul. It wasn't really apparent that you could save Paul.

Did you save Lebedev? The one that Anna Navarre orders you to kill. There are some additional dialogues there.
Did you visit Morpheus and Lucius De Beers?
 
Yeah, even I was kinda surprised when I saw the playtime. I thought I clocked in around maybe 40. I did check almost every possible room in every facility.

I forgot about those encounters. No, I could not save Lebedev. Since I knew nothing of the story, I did not know you were going to betray UNATCO. Paul working for the NSF was a major turnover for me. I was also not aware that you could kill Navarre in the plane. I refused to assassinate Lebedev, so Navarre did it anyway. Manderely wasn't pleased. Speaking of Manderely, I killed him while escaping from UNATCO.

Yes, I visited Morpheus and we had quite a nice talk. It was all thought provoking. I also visited DeBeers. Isn't that guy you see in Mankind Divided too? I decided to terminate him after I broke the news that Everett had no plans to revitalize him. Honestly, I thought the illuminati were going to come after me after I did that. I was surprised that Everett was only mildly disappointed regarding my actions, lol.

Yeah, Paul's survival wasn't that apparent but I once read an AMA of Warren Spector where some guy asked this question.
Hence I knew that it was possible to save him. It's like how it is in Human Revolution where you try to save Malik. You think it's possible to save her but the overwhelming number of soldiers discourage you at first. I had to redo that quite a few number of times before I could pull it off. About Paul, I guess I didn't try too much. I just helped kill off a few MIBs and soldiers in his room but that was it. I did make my way down to the hotel's hall but I kept getting killed. Also, I was not aware that Paul is invulnerable to damage. I could've just hid myself if I knew that...
 

I think i took so much was probably because i played stealthily all the time.

The "former" Illuminati members are in hiding in Deus Ex. Everett is relying on you to save them hence he wasn't mad about you doing that. Bob Page is on the lookout to kill the illuminati members.

Everyone you saw in DXMD at the illuminati roundtable were there in DX except for Volkard Rand and Elizabeth Duclare(her daughter in present in DX). Volkard Rand is probably Janus 😛

What happened to the illuminati over the few decades to 2052? I don't think I paid much attention. I realize that Bob Page was a former member who broke away but what happened to the illuminati that made them go into hiding and rely on us so much?

Did you play Invisible War? I kind of want to but I hear it's the weakest game of the series.
 


No I haven't played Invisible War due to the reason you just said.

Bob Page wanted everything for himself. He disliked the illuminati members opinions. So he decided to take them out. Bob Page knew everything about them so it was easy. You can see in MD that he wasn't considering the council's opinions when he was talking to Manderley to kill Rucker(there was a lot of stuff going on in that scene only people who had played the first DX would have known).

 
I see. Yeah, the Illuminati discussion table was the place I could least understand what was going on. Manderley was in there!? Oh, wow. I suppose another playthrough of Mankind Divided is needed too. Or I'll just watch it on youtube or something.

Also, I forgot to add, the smuggler died too. Again, I didn't know that he had to be warned in any way.

Finished Andromeda. It took 95 hours and all in all I liked the game very much. I think most of the criticism is overblown and most of the really bad stuff has been patched. I read that the Mass Effect series is on hold because of the reception that this game got and I hope that's not true. There is real potential for a great series based on the story so far.

Good to know that you thought the game ain't as bad as it's called out to be. Now I feel more like I want to play Andromeda. I see that the new v1.06 patch has fixed Ryder's face even more.
 
I finished the main story the day before the last ( 1.06 ) patch was released so I liked it even before those fixes. You can keep playing after finishing the main quest so I played with that patch for about an hour. I'm done though. Finished all the marked quests. There are still some side quests I haven't done that don't even tell you what planet they're for. Like you'd have to do them immediately when available or you lose track of them. They aren't important to the story though, just 'go scan this' stuff. It shows me as 96% complete.

I really liked the story and the combat is very good. I wasn't ready to be done with it. If they were smart they'd do a Witcher 3 with the DLC to get the fans back. Some free, really well done DLC packs would go a long way.
 
61% completion @ 80+ hours. i am definitely enjoying it more than i did ME 3. which i did think was a good game, i just thought it was more boring combat with almost every fight staged to be a cover shooting fest. Andromeda reminds me a bit more of 1 & 2.

 
It's a decent game too. Different enough to stand out from most 'shooter' games and very story driven. We've discussed it before in this thread I believe. I liked it.
