Sebastian BACH- One of the best Hard Rock vocalist of all time. Miss the good old days when GLAM Metal, and HAIR metal bands were so popular in the music 'hard rock' scene/genre.

SKID ROW was among them, alongside bands like WARRANT, WINGER, EZO, KIX, RATT, TRIXTER, L.A. GUNS, MOTLEY Crue, Cinderella, Crimson Glory, Dangerous Toys, Faster Pussycat, BEAU NASTY, House of Lords, Britny Fox, Tyketto, Danger Danger, Heaven's Edge, Steelheart, POISON, TESLA, Bad English, VIXEN, and few other major acts !

WINGER band ! REB BEACH was one of the best melodic solo lead and rhythm guitarist ! MILES AWAY and Madalaine songs were a testimony to this. He then joined Whitesnake band, and is currently with DAVID COVERDALE for his albums !

MILES AWAY is the love ballad which is my most fav track from Winger band. This is the only song which I have been listening each and every day since past 7-8 years without fail, or even more (regardless of any music genre). I play this track on my device each day. Also have the original CD as well, but I ripped and converted the whole album into MP3 and FLAC format.

Just love this song, since it has a very strong "emotional" bond connected to my past and inner self/soul !

I think Heaven is my favorite song by Warrant

Actually, when the lead vocalist JANI LANE of Warrant band died due to alcohol overdose in 2011, this HEAVEN song was aired as a tribute to him and his contributions to the Glam Metal scene. In fact Warrant themselves played the song on several live occasions, but obviously they hired a local singer.

Many indie bands were also involved in this Tribute to Jani Lane !

repeat.... This one is a pretty good extreme METAL band from Liverpool, England. CARCASS. Genre: Grindcore (early circa); Melodic/Brutal Death Metal (later years).

Just in case for those who don't know, Carcass is considered to be the MAJOR inspiration and musical foundation for most deathgrind/goregrind/brutal Death Metal bands, as well as being one of the founding *fathers of MELODIC death metal *when they had switched their genre to the melodic death metal sound by the early '90s.

Pretty Heavy and Brutal 'Head banging' sound ! This band is very unique. The musicianship is also excellent. Love this band like anything ! Obviosuly, not everyone's cup of tea though.

Band Name: LIMBONIC ART. One of the finest and highly talented founders of the Symphonic Black Metal underground scene in Norway.

Country: NORWAY (more specifically Sandefjord, and Vestfold og Telemark ). Formed in 1993 .

Genre: Symphonic BLACK METAL, Epic/Extreme Black Metal (melodic). Unlike other Norwegian BM bands, their music does not focus on the "Raw" Black metal genre, or "True Norwegian" Black Metal genre. Instead they have their own unique musical notes, and style.

Lyrical Themes on which the band mainly focus are as follows: Theory of the Cosmos, Universe, Nihilism and Void, Solitude, Death, and Darkness/Dark spirits.

More of Skid Row. This one is an Epic ballad, and has a very strong lyrical theme/message as well.

I had to do a slow blink when I read this, because I missed it initially... I remember back at a job I worked in the mid-90s, I made some reference to EZO and the manager I worked with was like "Wait, you know EZO??"

"Well, I have one album..."

"Then I'm not crazy! SOMEONE ELSE HAS HEARD OF EZO BESIDES ME!!"

(and within the past year, I found out that they'd previously been called Flatbacker)

Then at another point, Steelheart? I only found out about them in maybe 1996 I think, when I discovered a website that someone had put together where he put samples of metal songs he liked, wrote a little about the bands, etc. Of course, being when it was, and the lack of broadband available to the vast majority of homes, they were in RealAudio format.

And now I find myself saying "Holy crap, someone else has heard of Steelheart??!" Uh, yeah, again, a single album I have, but still...

That's awesome to hear man ! Haha ! I'm glad someone else also heard about EZO, Steelheart, and few other old bands. EZO was a pretty good band at that time though, along with another Japanese band called LOUDNESS ! This was a gem of a Heavy Metal band. There are even more artists I didn't mention in my original post, like e.g. Twisted Sister.

Btw, Ezo moved to the U.S. in an attempt to gain success overseas. They were discovered by Gene Simmons of KISS band fame who produced their self-titled American debut in 1987.

Ezo were the second Japanese metal band behind Loudness to chart on the Billboard 200 and did so reaching #150. During this time they also toured America in support of hard rock band Guns N' Roses/Axl Rose. After the release of Fire Fire album in 1989, "Geffen Records" dropped them and the band broke up shortly after. Vocalist Masaki Yamada went on to play in Loudness and Hirotsugu Homma also joined Loudness and later joined Anthem.

Actually, when it comes to Loudness band, they even hired Michael Vescera as the vocalist for their album Soldier of Fortune ! Michael Vescera has also worked with YNGWIE Malmsteen and did vocals for few of his albums. Here's one powerful LOVE ballad I often listen when I'm feeling emotional and depressed. Pretty solid vocalist.

In fact the MAGNUM OPUS is my favorite album from Yngwie Malmsteen. Yngwie has been been idol/mentor since my early teen days.

Anyways, my fav song from this artist.

He has a few songs I like but most do not appeal to my senses. A little too "POP" or "Disco" for me.

Same here. Actually, even I'm not into POP/funk and other similar genres. Just like some of the select songs from Phil Collins, and few other bands like ABBA, George Michael/Wham, since my sister used to play their tracks early in the morning to disturb my sleep, LOL !

It's gotten inside my head, sort of. But as a Musician myself, I do appreciate and praise those artists who are highly talented or popular, be it any genre. But can't live another day without listening to METAL and ROCK. Amen.
