So where does 1, 2, 3, 4 all go?

i have a 750w corsire psu

and a gigabyte ud4p

1 can plug into a header on the motherboard without needing the 2nd adapter. The 2nd one is there if you want to connect it directly to a 4-pin molex instead of to the motherboard. To do this: Plug a 4-pin molex into 3, plug 1 into 2, and away you go.

4 is there in case you want to power something else as well as the fan, eg hard drive.

o i see... thx for clear that up.

so wut would require the 4 pin pin plug? my hd are sata..

are u talkin about the old ide drives?

on my mobo ,i have 2 SYSfan spots, so if i wanna control fan speed. i can plug the fan into the mobo and tweek speed accordingly. if not then they just blast at full power when the powers turned on ?

It's for older IDE drives, yes.

Also, I personally prefer fans to run at full spin all the time, so I'd use the molex (also it makes for a tidier looking inside), but if you want the fan speed to be controlled by BIOS, then plug it into one of the SysFan headers.
