[SOLVED] Which PSU for a 3070 TI with 5600X ?

Solution
Nvidia recommends a 750 watt PSU with a 3070 Ti.

I used to own a TX650m myself, and I used it with my overclocked RTX 2080, which drew as much as 265 watts (only 25 watts less than a 3070 Ti is rated to draw). So you'll probably be all right for the time being, but running any PSU at the limit of what it can provide will eventually wear it out, and when it does, it may damage the hardware it is connected to. So I would recommend that you upgrade your PSU to a Corsair RM750x or even a RM850x.

A decent 650 watt PSU should be enough but the problem is that these new 30 series cards can suddenly peak and console a lot more wattage for a split second which might trigger the OVP/OCP. So I also think you should go with a 750 w PSU from a reputed manufacturer.

I would take what they say the wattage draw is with a grain of salt. My 2080 ti according to EVGA is 250 watts, running 3d mark time spy on stock settings pulls 280w peaking at 301 watts. At full overclock of +140 CPU clock and +1400 memory it pulls 386 watts.

I had a 750w PSU ( one in my sig) that i just replaced with a EVGA 1600w G2 i had laying around. I ran into issues playing New World were i would get power spikes and the PC would just reboot, no warnings at all just a straight power cut then reboot.

I would look at a 850w or to be on the safe side a 1000w PSU
