Hi,

I am currently in need of a 850-900w+ UPS and I am hoping to gather some insight on the manufacturers of my current selection.

I am aware that APC would be the 'most trusted' brand in the list, but the only model in my country is a 700w model, and there is a heck of a premium on it.

So, I am currently choosing between the ff. models:

USD-----Model
62-------Intex IT-1500VA https://dynaquestpc.com/collections/ups-avr/products/intex-it-1500va
63-------Secure 1500va 1000 watts https://dynaquestpc.com/collections/ups-avr/products/secure-1500va-1000-watts
69-------AWP 1500VA 900 watts Aid1500 https://www.wisepowerusa.com/flash_files/file/20161128/20161128181631_64482.pdf
112-----Kstar Micro2000 2000va / 1200w http://www.kstar.com/Line InteractiveUPS/10162.jhtml
115-----Delta VX1500VA 1500va https://www.deltapowersolutions.com/en/mcis/600va-1500va-single-phase-ups-vx-series.php
135-----PROLINK pro1501sfc 1500va https://prolink2u.com/product/super-fast-charging-line-interactive-series
158-----FSP EP1500va https://www.fsplifestyle.com/PROP162000542
214-----APC Back-UPS BX1400U-MS 700Watts 1400va https://www.apc.com/shop/my/en/prod...0V-AVR-Universal-and-IEC-Sockets/P-BX1400U-MS

I have read horror stories about Intex and Secure, and I own an FSP EP1500va.
I had a really bad time with my EP1500's software, and its batteries ballooned and started leaking (thank god it didn't explode/die and take my system with it.) I have since replaced the batteries and it can currently hold power properly, but the usb connection/circuit seems to have died because it won't be detected by my system any longer.

TIA. :giggle:

Are there any electronics recyclers nearby?

Large UPSes have next to no resale value because they are so heavy to move, and are commonly sold for scrap value only. You can often get a really fancy and larger unit for little more than the cost of new batteries.

I picked up a few full sine-wave APC 3000VA Smart-UPS unit for US$12.50 ea. They cost over US$1500 new. I used deep-cycle boat batteries instead of the correct replacement size because they were the same price, so runtime is now measured in days.

I'm not aware of any atm.

Pricing of used/old stuff here is silly. I believe some of the models I listed have been discontinued by their manufacturers, but are still sold here priced as though they just came out. And people sell their 5 gen old gear for 90% retail.

I envy your 3kva ups story :(
