when I'm using my computer my gpu ( gtx 660 ti ) suddenly turn off displaying no display. all the other components work like the processor , exhaust fan and psu . then after turning off my pc when i turn it on again the psu makes a loud noise while turning on. then i have to disconnect the pci-e cables connected to the gpu and plug in again to work normally. this process is going on for sometime and coudnt find any fix.

Solution
The PSU has coilwhine which meand it is dying, when the GPU asks for more juice on the 12v rail it is not getting clean power and shuts itself off. The most likely scenario with the details given.
A full list of the system spec with the make and model/age of the psu would be very helpful.

Yeah i think my PSU is the problem. I didn't know a lot of PSU'S back then and i bought an unrated 600w PSU. The GPU doesn't turn off when i turn off my case fans and case lighting. i think that confirms my problem is the PSU right?
