ah, dunno but the things they list are the things i see when i press f2, but i just put the card in and tried it again, didn't work, but when i left the 6 pin pci power unplugged the computer booted with intel graphics, so could it be that the psu is crap?
ah, when it booted up the screen was black so i plugged in the intel graphics because the pc started nomal, and i didn't use the 6 pin because i was trying to see if maybe the power going to it wasn't working right.
the psu or the gpu or both in general, sorry, still new to upgrading to stuff that isn't just basic for a computer, like ram and stuff, so didn't know it would do anything to have the gpu in and not have the power cable connected.
That Sentey PSU is completely trash. I hope that is not what you bought. YOu should be able to tell that a 750w unit that costs only $40 is going to be utter crap.
installed the psu and graphics at same time, and still wouldn't boot, just turned everything on in the box, hard drives just spun, fans on, dvd drive made noise, but no usb stuff like mouse and keyboard turned on, just didn't do anything again, but works fine with old card again.
What is your GPU model? If it is not Sapphire, can you return it still? I am suspecting that your card runs with UEFI and your Inspiron runs on Legacy BIOS.
