im really confused about this processor as if it works properly it can almost match a 3570k for alot cheaper and was wondering if it will run on my choice of motherboard
Don't forget that many games don't use more than 2 cores. FX 8350 only matches i5-570K in multithreaded applications. In a gaming machine your top priority should be the gpu. In otherwords you can also select an Phenom II X4 cpu and put that save cash on the gpu.
The Phenom II is quite a bit less performance, and the FX 8350 vs. i5-3570k argument has been had 1 million times...they are very much on par with each other in many things, and the 8350
exceeds the i5-3570k at
anything multithreaded.
Also, if games don't use more than 2 cores,
why does BF3 multiplayer use 5-7 cores in my FX 8350? Crysis 3 is just as bad or
worse about eating cores too.
