Will p4m800-m7 ECS work with conroe processors?

I have ECS p4m800-m7, i currently have pentium4 which sucks. i want to upgrade to core 2 duo but i couldn'tfind conroe support on the website. It has the same socket, LGA 775 and my p4 has voltage on 1.36.conroe says 1.2-1.5 volts so it should work right? if not then what the hell is the difference? they are just identical

That inexpensive motherboard is based on a VIA chipset and it will not support a Core 2 Duo. http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ECS/P4M800-M7%28V1.0%29.html. Get a new CPU and motherboard.

And also a new video card and RAM. That mobo is AGP and DDR1.

There are motherboards which do support Conroe... and DDR1 and AGP, but they are probably not easy to find now.
