[SOLVED] Will this CPU work with my motherboard?

Hi guys so currently my motherboard is a Dell inc 088DT1 and the current CPU i have is a i54460 is the ryzen 5 3600 compatible and a good upgrade or is there anything better in the £150 price range.
my current specs are
I54460 3.2 GHz
16GB Hyperx 1600mhz DDR3 RAM
Rx 580 8GB
EVGA 500W PSU
This is only for 1080p gaming btw

No, the AMD Ryzen 3600 (AM4) won't work on a Intel (LGA1150) motherboard.

You might be able to find a 1150 socket i7 or Xeon but you need to check to make sure your motherboard supports it.

How can i check if my motherboard supports it and also is the i7 1150 a worthy upgrade from my 4460 ?

It's difficult to say what is supported as I can't seem to find info from Dell but a 1150 socket max 84W TDP i7 or Xeon should work.

As if it's worth it....comes down to budget and the games you play. Open world style games could benefit from the additional threads.

If your budget allows this would be a good upgrade.
