Good afternoon!

I recently had an issue with my computer in which my desktop folder and my documents folder have both merged so both of them are my desktop. Put simply, if I put something in my supposed Documents folder (Which is now titled Desktop with a documents icon) it will appear on my desktop and vice versa. This all occurred when I tried to move my documents folder from the SSD I've been using to a new HDD.

EDIT: AFTER RESTART MY DESKTOP IS NOW DOCUMENTS. HELP!

Try running system restore, if you have a date prior to the change it should fix it.

Search for "create a restore point"
create a new Restore Point now for C-drive
then open the newest restore point that is prior to the problem happening (if you have one)

its a pitfall of moving a library folder location, if you choose wrong folder it can be painful to fix. Its why it helps to make a destination folder before you start, and make sure its right before confirming the relocation.

If system restore doesn't help,

You should be able to reverse the move, you just tell it not to move everything. It might take manual copying to make sure it doesn't try to move hidden files. You can't do it automatically.
