Question windows 10 laptop switching microphone

hello i have an issue with my laptop windows 10 which has a build in webcam and microphone

that when i plug in my earphones which has a microphone attached to it it will automatically switch microphones to the ones of the earphones when i wanna use the build in microphone of the laptop

and in windows device manager when their but also under audio in the control panel it doesn't show up when i have the earphones plugged because its using the exact same device as the laptops microphone

so how can i change it so that i can use my laptops microphone but still being able to use my earphones for audio only?

Make and model of your laptop? An SKU will help two fold. Also please include the make and model of the headset used. Might want to include the version of OS you're working with and if you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop.
