Hi everyone!
Recently i bought the samsung 970 evo 1TB SSD card to upgrade my laptop.
I wanted to remove my old 128GB SSD and put in this new one and then transfer my OS to the new drive and use my 1TB HDD as storage.
I unplugged my current SSD which came with the laptop when i bought it in 2016, but the laptop wouldn't boot on the HDD alone.
I read about part of the boot loader being on the old SSD because at the time of installing windows 10 both drives must have been in the laptop and so now i need both drives to boot up so i cant transfer anything to my new SSD because i only have 1 m.2 port.
I have tried to make my HDD my primary partition but it's greyed out, i think because my disks are GPT not MBR (not sure if thats why but they are) and my SSD has an "EFI system partition" and my HDD has the "boot".
Is there any way that i can boot up my laptop with the HDD alone?
Thank you in advance.
