In the last year it's started to struggle consistently, hanging for long periods of time and you can hear the front fan over revving. I've wiped it multiple times and it works fine for a few days then starts to slow down again. Strangely enough, this doesn't happen when I run Linux off of a USB stick and I'm wondering if it could be the hard drive that's causing the issue. I've run several health check and all have come back saying it's fine so I don't really know what to do next.

One thing that I have noticed is that the System Info Timezone doesn't match the Windows timezone. It's saying SA Western Standard Time while I'm in EST have Windows set that way manually.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Where did you source the installer for the OS? Did you install the OS in offline mode? Did you install all relevant drivers for said laptop while the laptop i isn't connected to the internet(offline mode)in an elevated command?

I've had that happen to me too, I just manually select the location, then enable sync.

You can see if the prebuilt has any BIOS updates pending. Following that, open Device Manager and see if anything is flagged with a yellow exclamation mark. Try and manually reinstall chipset drivers.

Just so you know dell does not support w11 on that pc.

That does not mean it won't work but you may have to do some fussin.
