Hey!

Is there any reason to use a third party defragmenter over Windows 7 defrag?
I have Defraggler from Piriform, but defragging my 1TB HDD that's only 25% full, takes FOREVER. i have never completed a defrag on it since after 1 hour it's still at like 2% complete and over a couple of hundred fragments.

While using Windows Defrag it works like a charm(i think) i don't really know what it's doing but it's completed within minutes.

Am i good with Windows Defrag or do you recommed another third-party defragger?

I use defraggler as well just let it finish let it run overnight or whatever. A defrag is really only needed every 6 months or so depending on how much drive use / deleting files you do. 10 12 hours every 6 months is not a big deal. Also from what I have seen defraggler speeds up over time. It will say 20 hours but be done in 2 or so. The Windows provided defrag is a "good enough" option it can be all you use and it would not be a big deal. The reason 3rd part are out there though most of the time is they either have a different approach or are just better.
