My Windows XP PC crashes spontaneously. Pc can be on for 1 min to 1 week
before this occurs. It does not re-boot, just shuts down, similar to someone
switching the power source off.

I have swapped out the following components:
Motherboard
Power supply
Memory
I have conducted a memory check and zeroed out my hard drive.

I have run virus checks with MacAfee and Norton utilities.
I have run Spy ware checks with MS spy ware and Spybot.
No event logs (eventvwr.msc) have shown errors.
Automatically Restart under System Failure has been deactivated

You have Automatic Restart on Failure deactivated, have you reset this
or was it like this before the problem started?

Sudden hardware related power downs are usually either memory, power
supply or overheating but there is one other obvious but easilly
overlooked possible culprit.

I had the same symptoms once - drove me bloody crazy - checked
everything you did, eventually changed the entire computer and had the
same problem???

Only thing not changed was the power supply cable, live lead was loose
and every time I moved wrong it did a reset.

You have to find out the cause.
Open Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer.

Regarding 'It does not reboot...'
