Winows Explorer how to get it to open to C:/

What is the command line to get windows Explorer (windows XP) to open to the C:/ I tred just c:/ but it doesn't have the folders on the left pane.
 
? I dont understand, just press windowskey/E to launch explorer, or shift/dbl click a folder.
FYI windows/dos normally uses a \ not a /

If they squeeze olives to get olive oil, how do they get baby oil?

You could also just right-click on the drive icon in My Computer and make a shortcut to the drive on the desktop. You could even drag it to the taskbar, or make a new toolbar. Just out the help menu under toolbars. And of course, as CALV mentioned ... you have to type C:\ at the command line, not C:/.

I'm using WinME, but you can try this: Drag a copy of the icon for windows explorer to your desk top (from programs/accessories/windows explorer). Right click on the icon and select properties, then edit the target window as follows: C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /n,/e,C:
